This event is to memorialize well-known DEYC and Boothbay Harbor Resident
On Saturday, July 30, a day when P/C Ron and Lorrie Richardson might have been sailing Wildflower – DEYC members are invited to join in a boat parade in Boothbay Harbor in honor of P/C Ron Richardson.
The plan is for boats coming from the east, south and west to slowly come together around the buoy #8 (west of Tumbler Island) at 11:00 hours on Saturday July 30th.
Lorrie Richardson, her daughter Kerry DiJoseph and other friends and family will be picked up at their dock and join in the event on SaltyPaws.
The Boothbay Harbor Master, Rob Leavitt will be on site and lead the procession. SaltyPaws will be directly behind the Harbor Master, others to safely fall into formation behind.
Please contact the appropriate vessel on VHF Channel 68.
After a turn around the Harbor the Day-Tripper event will commence.
More specifics on the Day Tripper to follow in a separate e-mail.
Let us show up and fly our DEYC burgees at buoy #8 (west of Tumbler Island) at 11:00 hours on Saturday July 30th in honor of P/C Ron Richardson, a good man and, a great contributor to the club over the last seventeen years.
Respectfully submitted,
Jeanne Koenig
