APRIL UPDATE: Snow is melting, summer is coming…..
Friday, July 7: Send off Party at Luke’s Boatyard. Tim Parker Host, Woody Wagon
Saturday, July 8: Maple Juice Cove - Happy Hour mixer in small groups on host
boats. Wine provided. No need to go ashore. Great place to kayak or explore on land but no
organized activity on land. Thank you to Ron and Lorrie Richardson who volunteered to be
hosts – They are looking for volunteers to have 2-4 folks for happy hour aboard. Please give
Ron a shout if you’d like to participate.
Sunday, July 9: Rockland – tentative activity on shore jointly with Rockland YC at their
new facility at the Town Dock – time late afternoon. Mac and Barb Gray hosts. Rockland
YC is on board – plans are in progress. Everyone is responsible for reserving moorings or dock
space in the harbor.
Monday, July 10: Seal Bay, west of Hay Island - dinghy races in later part of the
afternoon followed by dinghy tie up with beer and wine provided. Brent and Susan Pope –
hosts. Anchoring.
Tuesday, July 11: Wooden Boat School - Group BYOB gathering using large Pole Barn
shelter. Tours of the school can be arranged. Good place to walk around or just enjoy the
sunset. Happy Hour ashore. Thank you Dave Racicot and his grandsons who have
volunteered to host. Date is reserved at the school for our group. Anchoring only.
Wednesday, July 12: Stockton Springs – party ashore. HOST NEEDED. Cook out on
shore. Grills available, charcoal provided. The harbormaster has been contacted. The date
reserved.
Thursday, July 13: CAPTAIN’S CHOICE
BELFAST - at the Front Street Marina. Happy Hour dock party. HOST NEEDED to
organize dock party. Front Street has reserved the dates for our fleet. Everyone is responsible
for moorings or dock space. Details TBA.
OR
BANGOR - from Stockton Springs it is @30 nautical miles to Bangor. There is a max 2-
knot current in the river dependent on the tide. HOST NEEDED for Bangor to lead the way
and organize arrival.
Friday, July 14: Camden. Final party on shore with possible dinner at CYC. Brian and
Nancy Strong have volunteered to host – THANK YOU! Everyone is responsible for reserving
moorings or dock space.
Saturday, July 15: Port Clyde for those heading back to BBH. Gathering at the Dip Net,
pay as you go dinner. Everyone responsible for reserving your mooring.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR A FEW PORTS. Many hands make for a fun cruise!
