DOWN EAST YACHT CLUB FACILITIES RULES
Rules governing the use of club facilities, moorings, docks, floats, etc. are set by the Board of
Directors. Note that these specific rules are not part of the club’s by-laws but are incorporated
as operating rules that can be amended as needed by the Board of Directors. Policing of the
rules will be performed by the Tugboat Dockmaster. Use of facilities should be cleared with
the Dockmaster beforehand, Channel 16/9.

facilities outside of these dates.
3. Tie up is normally two hours with DEYC burgee flying.

7. Unattended boats shall be tied “shoreward” at the dock so that they optimize available
space for other boats to dock later.
8. The Tugboat Inn reserves the right to use the space in any necessary situation for brief
loading and unloading. If available, the dock may be used as an overnight after 7 p.m. The
fee will be split between the DEYC and the Tugboat Inn.
9. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL A DEYC BOAT BE ASKED TO LEAVE
THE DOCK TO MAKE ROOM FOR, OR BE REPLACED BY, A NON-MEMBER
BOAT.
